The first thing you'll notice about 'Don't Look Up' is probably the all-star cast as the familiar faces just keep on popping up.

This movie must have cost a fortune to make.

We’ll get to that in a bit, but for now, let’s focus our attention on the teaser trailer for Don’t Look Up.

Teaser trailers – because just releasing an actual trailer is no longer cool (and interactive websites are).

The first thing you’ll notice is probably the all-star cast as the familiar faces just keep on popping up.

Bang, there’s another famous person!

The basics via Engadget:

The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio as a grad student and professor who try desperately to warn the public of a life-ending comet in an era where 24-hour news and social media lead to gnat-like attention spans. Those two are just the start of the headliners, though — seemingly everyone involved is a big name.

Meryl Streep is the President and counts Jonah Hill as her son, while Cate Blanchett and Tyler Perry host a relentlessly optimistic morning show. The flick also features Ron Perlman, Mark Rylance, Dune’s Timothée Chalamet and even two pop stars (Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi), among others.

Even the director, Adam McKay, is a name you should recognise. His past credits include Anchorman, Step Brothers, and The Big Short.

Unfortunately, McKay also directed Anchorman 2, which was a disaster, so he loses points there.

The movie will stream on Netflix from December 24, after premiering in select US theatres on December 10.

Right, let’s talk money.

According to Variety, DiCaprio and Lawrence are being paid a combined $55 million for appearing in Don’t Look Up.

Leo will take home $30 million, and Jennifer $25 million.

Throw in Meryl and Jonah and Cate and Tyler and Ron and Timothée and Ariana and you have yourself an expensive movie to make

Please let it be good because there is a serious dearth of quality comedy / satire movies these days.
