We’ve made it.

One Thursday closer to the end of the year.

I considered making an advent calendar counting down the days until we take leave but it sounded like too much effort.

Anyway, the countdown is well and truly on and we celebrate today with a throwback to 2007’s Miss Teen USA pageant.

It seems fitting this week, given the ridiculous tweet from Texas governor Greg Abbott about South Africans illegally crossing the US border, to revisit Miss Teen South Carolina Caite Upton’s answer to a pretty straightforward question.

The rest, as they say, is history:

Fun game – drink every time she says “such as”.

Caite has put the above blunder behind her and gone to become a TV presenter / model / mother of two.

At least she didn’t go into politics.
