Whilst the start of the 22/23 Premier League season edges closer with the release of the fixtures imminent, and the start of the campaign being just six or so weeks away, there will be many of us football fans from all over the world that will be starting to get excited for a different reason.
Indeed, while we have not been able to enjoy the 2022 FIFA World Cup this summer as we would have traditionally done with previous editions of the competition and have to wait until the winter instead, there are a number of blockbuster moments that have happened.
Most notably, this is in regard to the summer transfer window! There have been some rather extraordinary transfers to have happened throughout the football world, whilst there have been some that involve the Premier League, too.
In this article, we will take a look at the deals that are done or are seemingly on the verge of being concluded, whilst we will also look at those deals that appear to be rumoured at the moment, but look like being very big acquisitions should they come to fruition!
Haaland: Confirmed deals to have already happened

Naturally, this deal is one of huge significance, as it effectively brings one of the best players in the world at the moment to the Premier League, with the youngster being one of the most extraordinary of talents.
According to reports, City are understood to have paid £51 million to bring the player to the Etihad Stadium, with the club a former team of his fathers. However, with respect to Alf Ing Haaland, his son is one player who is on his own in regard to the level of quality and talent that he possesses.
Indeed, many believe he will be an influential figure for the club and is a huge reason why so many are expecting Pep Guardiola’s side to dominate the Premier League once again, whilst some believe he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw that could help solve the UEFA Champions League conundrum that has continued to blight the club.
Haaland is not the only deal to have been completed in the Premier League so far this season, with a handful of clubs confirming big signings. Tottenham Hotspur, for example, have acquired Ivan Perisic, whilst Aston Villa have added Philippe Couthino on a permanent deal, whilst signing Diego Carlos and Boubacar Kamara. Arsenal have signed exciting Brazilian Marquinhos, too.

The Uruguayan striker was sublime last season for the Portuguese outfit as he managed to find the back of the net on a regular basis. With City improving their squad, and the apparent likelihood of Sadio Mane departing Anfield some time this summer, Jurgen Klopp has needed to ensure he bolsters his squad if they are to challenge for the Premier League title again.
Elsewhere, Chelsea’s new owners could be prepared to revisit a transfer that Roman Abramovich had tried to make happen for Thomas Tuchel in regard to Jules Kounde. The Blues have a desperate need to bolster their defence this summer after losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, whilst Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso could also both leave Stamford Bridge.
It will be interesting to see what else Todd Bohely does as the new owner, as he may have to find a new striker after Romelu Lukaku’s disastrous season for the club and his clear unhappiness at the team he supports.
