Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away peacefully at Balmoral at the age of 96 yesterday.
She spent more than 70 years on the throne and now it’s time for the reign of King Charles III.
The Queen’s sense of humour is well-known – take her reaction to being awarded ‘Oldie of the Year’, for example – and I’m sure more stories will come out in the days and weeks that follow.
One man who is well-equipped to talk about Liz is former Royal Protection Officer Richard Griffin, who spent many years by her side as a bodyguard.
During the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this year, he recounted a fantastic story of when they crossed paths with two unsuspecting American tourists.
