If you were to go on social media posts alone, you’d probably think that Elton and Iva Jantjies are simply enjoying a family jaunt in Cyprus.

Elton posted that image above to his Instagram account yesterday, simply captioned, “G – Legacy continues”.

Friends joined in with supportive comments, such as “Proud of u champ 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽 family is everything despite all the world throw at us stay strong together …and what God has put together no man shall set asunder”.

I see we’re all conveniently forgetting that Elton admitted to carrying on a months-long affair with Springbok team dietician Zeenat Simjee, having initially lied about it in a statement denying any wrongdoing.

I’ll chuck in the fact that in a recent interview with News24, Iva said she had long suspected her husband was cheating and said, “I don’t think I will ever be romantically involved with Elton again.”

That echoes what she has said in previous interviews.

But hey, let’s all get carried away like IOL, which yesterday trumpeted about how a joke between the married couple could be interpreted as a sign of reconciliation:

Judging from their recent displays of affection and flirty banter, the couple appear to be presenting a united front…

The father of three joined his family in Cyprus this week, and it didn’t take him long to immerse himself in the Cypriot way of life…

But it was Ristic’s IG Stories that got tongues wagging.

In a short clip, Jantjies is seen enjoying a fancy drink while the model could be heard joking in the background: “He’s living like a ‘Turkish princess’”.

It’s true, this did indeed happen:

Well, I’m convinced that all is forgiven and they’re staying together. Pop that bubbly you’ve been saving for the special occasion!

It might be telling if Iva shared a photo of her husband on her Instagram account but that hasn’t happened.
