For a young couple trying to break free from the shackles of a royal lifestyle, Prince Harry and his offended-all-the-time wife Meghan Markle seem to find themselves constantly surrounded by the kind of opulence reserved only for society’s elite.

Spanning over two acres with manicured lawns and breathtaking views, the Montecito property in California boasts a very reasonable price tag of R570 million.

That’s a little more than half a billion local bills.

Nothing says ‘we are just a normal family’ quite like bemoaning your ‘unfair life’ surrounded by six en-suite bedrooms, a swimming pool, a dining hall with silver leaf ceiling, games rooms, a bar, and a huge chef-quality kitchen.
