Everyone is saying that a little boy has stolen the hearts of millions in South Africa with his passionate dance moves.
The seven-year-old went viral after a video of him dancing on stage at a school show was shared on TikTok. ‘Klein Kwagga’ from Mpumalanga was giving his all as he danced along to Bernice West’s ‘Lyfie’, and now he’s basically a little celeb.
OFM reported that the boy, Dirkco Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen unexpectedly stole the spotlight at his sister’s year-end concert, hosted by the dance school René’s Art of Dance in Benoni on Saturday night.
Shjoe, Benoni is full of talent.
Dirkco decided right there to fill the dancing shoes of one of his heroes – Robbie Wessels – and do what he likes, to make people laugh, because ’Hy weet wat die Leeuloop is’. En die ouens het mooi gevra…
His parents, Mercia and Jaco Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen said someone posted the video for the world to share in his joy and then a family member quickly helped them to create a TikTok profile for Klein Kwagga, the nickname his father has used for his sweet son since childhood.

Mercia said that Dirkco’s sister Elizma (12) – “the official dancer” – granted her little brother every little bit of fame, as long as she was allowed to tag along when they met Bernice, which they soon did.
The now famous boy was invited to Pretoria FM studio where he was able to meet Bernice West and show off his dancing talent live:
@pretoriafm @KleinKwagga het kom kuier by Pretoria FM.
Bernice is a Cape Town-based singer-songwriter whose unique vocal stylings position her at the forefront of the evolution of Afrikaans pop music. She may be an established pop star, but she seemed way more excited to meet her little fan:
