The latest teaser for Brad Pitt’s racing movie has dropped, and it looks intense.
F1 features Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One racer forced into early retirement until a team owner (Javier Bardem) asks him to return to the sport and help mentor a rookie driver (Damson Idris).
Joshua Kosinski wrote the film from a script by Ehren Kruger after the pair collaborated on the 2022 smash Top Gun: Maverick. Pitt, Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, Dede Gardner, Lewis Hamilton, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman serve as producers for F1.
Loads of big names there, as Idris noted: “I look to my left, it’s Brad Pitt. I look to my right, it’s Javier Bardem. I look at my hands, they’re shaking. We shoot all of this epic stuff, and all the amazing drivers are there, from Lewis [Hamilton] to [Max] Verstappen to everyone.”
Produced in collaboration with Formula One’s governing body, and shot throughout real Formula One weekends, F1 is said to “transport the passion of sport onto a big screen like never before”. Sounds dope.
