Eish, it’s been a bad week for news anchor Aldrin Sampear after Newzroom Africa issued a brief statement following a viral video of Sampear allegedly involved in a road rage incident with a female driver.
The incident, caught on video, went viral last week. In the clip, a woman is heard saying, “Why are you hitting me?”
Sampear is seen confronting the woman, accusing her of giving him the middle finger, while she accuses him of physically hitting her. Standard road rage stuff, really.

Sampear is now been formally accused of assaulting the woman following a crash, and a case of assault has reportedly been opened with the police.
Newzroom Africa said Sampear will take a break from his broadcast duties, effective immediately, pending an internal review.
