Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas are still fuelling the rumour mill, and the internet remains as clueless as ever about whether they’re actually dating or just expertly trolling everyone.
The 62-year-old Mission: Impossible legend and the stunning 37-year-old Ballerina star were recently spotted getting cosy (well, as cosy as public parks allow) in London around her birthday on April 30th. Naturally, the sighting set fan theories ablaze once more. Buckle up for the latest gossip rollercoaster…
Flashback to February: the first whispers of romance started swirling when the pair were caught by paparazzi on what looked suspiciously like a pre-Valentine’s Day dinner in Soho. They reportedly dined together, then hopped into the same taxi, which, in gossip math, equals “definitely more than friends.”
But then came the buzzkill. An insider threw cold water on the romance, telling People that their agents were with them and the whole thing was just a “business meeting.” According to the source, they “appeared to have no romantic connection” and were “just friends.” Classic move or clever cover? You decide.
Their latest rendezvous, however, has fans once again wildly divided. Some are convinced the duo’s repeat hangouts scream secret lovers, while others are giving major “eh, not buying it” energy.

“I still say friends/colleagues because the way he’s got his hands there’s still no PDA, no romantic gestures, no hand holding, nothing, just talking,” one skeptical fan commented on X. Another chimed in: “My personal impression is that they are discussing future collaboration for a certain project. It will be nice to see these two side by side.” And someone else added dryly: “These photos say nothing since they are not holding hands to suggest they are in a relationship?”
Not everyone’s rooting for Cruise and de Armas to become Hollywood’s next odd couple. Some are throwing serious shade, pointing out their age gap and, of course, Tom’s ahem religious affiliations.
“This is disgraceful disgusting and disappointing. She like the same age [as] his daughter,” slammed one particularly outraged X user.
“She’s way too cute for that old thing,” snarked another. “Somebody please tell her [to] run and hide from Cruise,” pleaded a third. And a fourth didn’t hold back: “Welcome to Scientology. No way she’s gonna join the club.”
Then there are the internet detectives who are 100% sure the dating rumours are real, and kind of loving the drama. “Yes it’s all over the news. @TomCruise and baby Ana! They are so dating. Tom is Ana’s sugar daddy,” declared one fan. Meanwhile, a rare optimistic voice piped up: “They seem like a great match, honestly. And I haven’t said that in a minute.”
So, are they lovers, collaborators, or just playing the PR game like pros? No clue, but you can bet we’ll all be watching.
