The NSPCA stepped in to save a starving dog after its owner posted a stupid dance video on X with the poor, emaciated pooch clearly visible in the background.
The video that recently went viral on social media has left many South Africans shocked and heartbroken.
In the clip, a content creator was seen dancing, but it wasn’t her moves that caught everyone’s attention, but the sad state of her pet.

JacarandaFM reports the Special Projects Unit (SPU) took action to locate the dog and safely remove her from the property, making sure she would never endure such cruelty again.
Now named Bobby, the dog was discovered in a heartbreaking state. According to the NSPCA, she had resorted to eating plastic just to survive and was infested with ticks and fleas. Her body was covered in open sores, and she was suffering from extreme malnutrition.
Since being rescued, Bobby has been affectionate with everyone she meets and is now safe in the care of the NSPCA.
“She’s on a long road to recovery, but once healthy, she’ll be sterilised and available to the loving and caring home she deserves.”
The woman in the video, who claimed the dog was not her responsibility, allegedly mocked the NSPCA’s investigation on social media before the rescue.
Good news is she will now face charges in terms of the Animals Protection Act, the NSPCA confirmed.
