I wonder how long this fellow had been wearing his nice green T-shirt around his village, without anyone batting an eyelid. Years, I’d say. And they probably still don’t know that old Xqa! on the drums is wearing a very humourous Irish T-shirt. Better yet, a T-shirt with the foulest of words written on it..
CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA – 27 October 2010: Shereen Barnes joined hundreds of protestors and members of the media in a march from Kaizergracht to Parliament to protest against the proposed Protection of Information Bill and the setting up of media tribunal in Cape Town, South Africa on 27 October 2010. Protestors also marched to […]
How many times have you heard, “Not tonight, I have a headache.”? It is possibly one of the greatest cliches of all time…probably due to the fact that every single person has experienced this in one form or another.
But do not fear my fellow lovers, it seems that there is hope after all, well maybe not hope, but rather an explanation.

The annual list of most corrupt countries in the world has been released by Transparency International, and South Africa didn’t do all that badly, as these things go. I mean, 54th out of 178 countries? It’s not the kind of thing you put up on your fridge or anything, but it’s not bad.
If any of you spend even a mild amount online and have a Facebook and/or Twitter account, the new MINI ‘Connected’ system which is built into the new MINI Countryman (launches late November I’m told) will blow your head off. So 2oceansvibe Radio in the car is one thing, but how can you watch news feeds whilst driving? Not to worry, the car reads it out for you! Video after the jump!

Thousands of politically-minded Kiwis have come out in protest to prevent production of the Lord of the Rings prequel, The Hobbit, from moving out of New Zealand. I understand completely – I went through the same thing when my parents made me stop wearing my wizard outfit to school.
PORT ELIZABETH, SOUTH AFRICA – 23 October 2010: 905 bikini-clad women formed a heart shape while taking part in the Nashua Largest Ever Bikini Photo Shoot at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on 23 October 2010. The bikini paraders broke two world records to raise awareness of cancer. (Photo by […]
There is a lot of 3D talk at the moment and, personally, I don’t know if these 3D TV’s are gonna fly. I just can’t get into the vibe of sitting in The Safe House with silly 3D glasses on. Especially watching TV! But looking at a book, now that’s different. That’s probably why one man’s entrepreneurial spirit has manifested itself into the most useful of 3D offerings. I give you 3DD – a 3D book of boobs! (NSFW)
Simon Burrow writes this book review from his home in Menerbes, somewhere in the Luberon Valley – Provence: Long ago when men were men, ladies were ladies and journalists were real wordsmiths, Normal Canale was at his peak.
In a career spanning five decades, Canale was a pioneer tabloid journo. Expert in rugby and boxing (he called it the ‘sweet science’), in particular, Norman Canale sold newspapers. Canale lived with the characters, he ate and breathed them. He drank with them.
We love mary jane. Spider-Man loves Mary Jane. We love Spider-Man. In particular, we love Emma Stone, the angel from Zombieland and Superbad, who’ll be playing Peter Parker’s love interest in the rebooted Spider-Man film.
There are some pictures of her. You might want to keep your web shooters handy.

Steve Carell and Chris Rock's Special Auction Items Pt. 2 | ||||

What could be better than having Chris Rock verbally abuse your ex for breaking up with you? Nothing! Especially when he begins with, “You dirty motherf_ _ _er…”
Many of you will know Chris Achola from Caprice, but little did you know he has quietly been working on ‘POZnews,’ the country’s first health magazine focusing on infectious diseases. The magazine aims to educate and inform those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Marketers and advertisers are urged to book for the launch of this breakthrough publication. Taj hotel, Thursday 18h30. Follow link for contact details.
For those of you who weren’t aware, the Whisky Live Festival is the biggest of its kind in the world. That’s how much we dig our whisky, here in South Africa. It runs from Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 November in Cape Town, and Wednesday 10 to Saturday 13 November in Johannesburg. You have no excuse to miss this incredible event – especially when we are giving away massive daily prizes and VIP packages, courtesy of Jack Daniel’s! Follow the link to find out more..
“Drunkorexia” – a combination of starving yourself and bingeing on alcohol as a means of not gaining weight. Destructive yet genius at the same time…
This is hysterical. The US ‘Parents Television Council” (God help us all) has slammed the latest US GQ Magazine for publishing pictures which “border on pedophilia.” And I assure you it’s not to do with the cover! The gaggle of bored ultra-conservatives were referring to a photo shoot the legendary magazine did with the cast of Glee, a high-school-musical type series that is probably also showing on local screens (I wouldn’t know – but can confirm it is on Apple TV). Follow the link for more on the story + all the pics..
The sudden appearance of a crocodile onboard a routine flight in the Democratic Republic of Congo led to the plane crashing, killing 20. Only one passenger survived the crash, along with the crocodile; the crocodile was then killed with a machete. We’re not sure why this movie hasn’t been made yet.
A massive thank you to GQ for bestowing the Best Dressed Man In South Africa award. We touched on it earlier on in the week, but didn’t get a chance to get the pics up (for my mum to see, to tell the truth). You can check them all out in the November issue which has dual covers – one of Christina Aguilera, and one of football genius, Jose Mourinho. So, in the meantime, here is one they took as I realised my fly was down. Whoops!
Ex-pats and poms alike should be aware that The Blonde and Baby Jesus are blessing Great Britain with their presence in just over a week. That’s right, my love, Goldfish are coming to London – and it’s gonna be a MASSIVE gig! The show is so close to being sold-out that I shifted this article forward by one week. Best you move. Two French students, calling themselves the ‘Niqabitches,’ have posted a video of themselves strolling through Paris wearing the niqab with hot pants and high heels, in protest of France’s recent burka ban. They seem like very nice young ladies.
The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book is known for things that most of us probably couldn’t afford. So it was quite a moment when 100 hot, limited edition Camaro Convertibles worth $75,000 each sold out in three minutes.
Marisol Valles, 20-year-old criminology student, recently became police chief of Guadalupe, one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico – because no-one else wanted the job. Guadalupe is second only to Juarez in terms of violence; Valles was “the only person willing to accept the position.”
You will remember Anna Chapman. She’s counted among our Tuesday Tabs angels here on 2oceansvibe. Well now she is posing for the Russian Maxim mag. Check out this hot video.
The three cinemas (Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town) we have managed to secure for a pre-public screening of Facebook movie, ‘The Social Network’ are 70% full so far – so if you have a blog and you want to watch the movie (with a buddy) before the general public, there is still time! Private screening will take place on 25 October! Follow the link to see how!
Please enjoy this vibe. The dog is saying “My owner doesn’t understand me”. Well, that’s cute. But it’s wrong.
Online dating is a wide field; you can go out trawling for cougars, swingers, or partners with a little extra meat on ’em. And now virgins can find other virgins, in what is presumably an attempt to kill two birds with one stone.
Mercedes-Benz have really spoilt us with the likes of the Gullwing. But now, they bring you two concept models that will leave you pretty darn wet if you ask me!
