DA secures future. Snowden warns Australia. Government to give condoms to 10 year olds. Durbs dad dead in Thai hotel. Madoff’s 2IC dead. 5 dead in Swiss shooting. Nico slows down Hamilton’s streak. Murray stuns Nadal on clay.
There were a few lessons to be learnt from Monday’s televised DA debate, and Mmusi Maimane raised a few issues that set tongues wagging.
There’s nothing like a vicious rumour of a sex scandal to start your month, is there? This time it’s for five of the top DA leaders, but the timing is far too good.
It takes a brave man to battle Mmusi Maimane live on TV, but it seems Wilmot James is up to the task. This should be somewhat interesting.
We know that Mmusi isn’t afraid to stand up to Jacob Zuma, given his eloquent attack in the aftermath of the State of the Nation fiasco, but he may yet have a few more tricks up his sleeve.
It seems there are multiple reasons as to why there is so much anger towards our fellow Africans in this country, but here’s one I haven’t heard before.
Winter in Cape Town is hardly fun. We tend to hibernate, build fires and drink a lot of red wine. Because we are coastal creatures, we need to see the ocean. Not this year…
It looks like the wheels are coming off the Western Cape ANC bus as meetings have been held regarding disbanding the party’s leadership structures.
The past few days have been less than stellar for the Cape Times as they have come under fire from politicians. Now they are set to lose a whole whack of subscribers.
Western Cape Gov. dumps Cape Times. Dior’s first black face. BBC loses 4m viewers. Ryanair approves low-cost flights to US. France to ban skinny models. Marli hasn’t seen Henri. Pinterest’s massive valuation. Romney to fight Holyfield.
So you started off with good intentions of paying attention for the entirety of yesterday’s address by Jacob Zuma, then your mind drifted. What did you miss? The Mail and Guardian have made it easy for us.
Tony Leon shares his thoughts on last week’s SONA reality show. The good news is that we’re apparently not in our darkest hour yet…
Aah, The SONA. What a great movie. It was like it was scripted. Looks like they should have taken Malema’s threats a little more seriously.
Unless your head is buried in the sand you will be aware that we have some sticky fingers at work in South Africa. These latest figures, however, will make you rather queasy.
In what many will claim is a victory for free speech a massive Constitutional Court ruling has gone the way of the DA. Next up…pay back the money!
There is plenty of misinformation flying around at the moment about last year’s set of matric results. This bit of info is rather concerning for all of us.
Haha, Zuma, you never cease to amaze me. Have a squizz at how The President thinks he is above the rest of the world and South African law.
Ah, the Spy Tapes. The drama, the intrigue. What will they hold? We will only ever know if the NPA actually gives the DA ALL. OF. THEM.
US airstrikes on ISIS have started. DA wants Russian nuke details. Rockefellers switch gameplan. Tesco gets nailed hard. Guess who’s finally divorcing? Apple TV gets Beats. Alicia Keys strips off.
The DA and ANC are at it again, with someone calling someone else an idiot, and someone else talking about spies and the CIA infiltrating our government. How about that medical marijuana, please…
What could possibly be on the ‘spy tapes’ that the DA has fought so hard for? Hopefully we will be finding out soon, as the NPA hands them over.
Helen Zille and Jacob Zuma have finally come to an agreement by order of the court – and it is in favour of the DA. Helen will be dining on caviar and champers tonight…
When DA MP, Michael Waters tweeted a picture captioned “Voting Day. Make your mark”, showing a line of dogs urinating on an election poster of Jacob Zuma, he may not have considered the full scope of his actions. Or the full scope of Twitter.
Results are in, press conferences held, and the gloves have come off! All the latest post-election mudslinging here…
9 dead and 288 missing as Ferry goes underwater. Amputee comes clean and apologises for killing wife. DA commercial on/off air result. Nel punishes ‘expert’ witness. North Korea won’t let the hairdresser issue go. Smartphones will get a ‘kill switch’ soon.
The buildup to the general elections next month is heating up. Take a look at the DA commercial that the SABC banned for taking a jab at the ANC.
Politicians have the tendency to blab on about a lot of nonsense. Here are a couple of quotes from opposition leaders at their worst.
Yesterday we got footage from 2oceansviber Kyle J, showing men removing DA posters from a lamp post. The DA have responded to the matter in a press release, offering a R5,000 reward. Check it out..
check out this video that we’ve just received from 2oceansviber Kyle J. It shows a man removing a DA signboard from a lamp post – throwing it onto a trailer, and carrying on down the road in a bakkie.
I’m surprised there weren’t any rubber bullets fired or perhaps some ‘looting’ today in Johannesburg, as Helen Zille led a group protesting for ‘real jobs.’ Instead there were ‘flying bricks,’ stun grenades and petrol bombs. Not bad..
