Sonny Bill Williams To Become A Stormer?

All Blacks star, and one of the most well known rugby players in the world at the moment, Sonny Bill Williams, wants to make Cape Town his home. His agent, who is currently in Cape Town, said Sonny is ready to discuss a possible contract with the Stormers. He could also climb into the boxing ring here as soon as November.

Golden Lions, UCT, Stormers In Running For Team Of The Year In SA Rugby Awards

The 2011 edition of the SA Rugby Awards will be held tomorrow night and one of the most hotly contested categories this year is Team of the Year. Among the nominees are newly crowned Currie Cup champions the Golden Lions, and UCT’s highly successful Ikey Tigers. The Stormers’ nomination adds to a strong Western Cape interest factor.

The Stormers Stumble

As a stormers fan, one can hardly be upset by last Saturday’s shellacking at The hands of New Zealand’s finest. For starters they were so vastly superior in every facet of the game that you could hardly hold it against them. They played rugby that was a joy to watch, they were infinitely more physical than us and they had an ingredient in spade loads that we seemed to lack, that is that “they started with the why”.

Pondering The Stormers

What made the Stormers loss to the Crusaders at Newlands on Saturday most disappointing was the fact that the Cape Town boys played most of the rugby. And in the second half we had two golden opportunities to win the game but were let down by the little things. Click link for more.
