  • FREE BOMB SURF MAG SUBSCRIPTIONS – ENDING SOON

05 Jun 2009 by Seth Rotherham in Media, Surfing, Very Cool

    The following contains zero spice.

As you know I’ve been doing some work with TheBombSurf.com. It’s owned by John McCarthy who used to be involved at Zig Zag magazine in the early days and started this new vibe from scratch. He contacted me a while back and mentioned something about his new surf website and the fact that we could do some work together. Which we did – he gave me some surf babes and I interviewed them – with the Weather being featured on both 2oceansvibe and TheBombSurf.

So anyway, before that happened, I dropped a call to Sammy, who plays 2oceansvibe character “The Roofer .” I said to him, “What do you know about this John McCarthy character and this BombSurf gig?”

“Ja, he’s quite mean, hey” said The Roofer.

    “Oh, is he?” I confirmed..

“Ja, he’s pretty serious, bru. He like started this Bomb surf site thing and tuned all the okes that if they subscribed then they would get a free surf mag every three months. So all the guys reckoned he was talking shit but they did it anyway. True as God, three months later, the first one arrived.”

    “Are you SERIOUS?” I asked.

“Ja, bru! And you know what, it’s fucking SICK! The mag is verging on being a coffee table book. Honestly, I couldn’t believe it. It’s the best surf mag I’ve ever read in South Africa. And it’s BIG bru – you know those “W” mags?”

    “Ja,” I replied.

    “Same size…”

    “No ways..”

    “I swear.”

    “Jesus.”

    “I know.”

So I followed through with John after that and we did some work together. I chatted about this mag of his that comes out every three months and he mentioned that he is going to have to put a cap on it at some stage. I took heed and quietly subscribed to it, just in case that time ever came. Whether it’s good or not, I don’t mind free quality mags. Then I stayed at The Surfer’s house in Kommetjie the other weekend and he had a copy there, so I checked it out in the flesh for the first time.

    Wow!

No, seriously – Wow! For a non surfer, I didn’t ever think there would be a “surf mag” that I would dig to have lying around. But this thing – my God, it’s a work of art!

And what’s more, The Surfer (turned surf photographer here) has about 8 shots running in this latest edition.

So anyway, the point of this article is to tell you that they’ve finally decided to cap the max amount of subscribers that are allowed to get the free mag. I’m not sure what the target is, but I do know that from yesterday they were only allowing in another 1,000 subscribers .

AND THEN THAT IS IT. OVERS GADOVERS!

So, if you want to get this radical quality mag for free every three months, move your aarlee over to THIS WEBPAGE and SIGNUP NOW!

Just do it – trust me. Whether you’re a surfer or not, do you have any idea how cool this mag looks lying on your coffee table?

Seriously, do it – you know I always look after you.

    Go.
