We’ve been deceived! By somebody on the internet! My god, but I feel so used. It turns out that Craig Rowin, that guy who put up three separate videos asking millionaires for money and then apparently getting it was totally lying to us. It was all a big ol’ ‘look at me I’m a comedian’ hoax.
See, Rowin The Deceiver was supposed to be receiving a cheque for $1 million from an eccentric old rich dude named ‘Benjamin’ at a large cheque-handing ceremony at the UCB Theatre in New York – which he did. Except then Rowin set the cheque on fire, and played the audience clips of people auditioning for the role of ‘Benjamin,’ cackling wildly at how clever he was all the while.
Suddenly I’m not sure I can trust the internet anymore.
