Whilst Facebook and it’s great and beneficent overlord, Mark Zuckerberg, are being showered with praise for the platform’s help in overthrowing dictators in the Middle-East, programmers are busily working away on new features. These features give third-party developers and external websites the ability to access users’ home addresses and cellphone numbers. Now isn’t that charming?

Facebook tried to sneak it past us in January, but three days later took down the announcement, under a barrage of criticism from the public and even congressmen.

Facebook now says that they are “actively considering” whether to restrict users under the age of 18 from sharing their contact information. I can already see paedophiles eagerly rubbing their hands with delight at the take-away menu Facebook is planning.

If you want to read more and remember why “The Social Network” portrayed Zuckerberg as a self-satisfied asshole, check out the rest of the article here.
