One cannot but be amazed and horrified at the actions of Kipp Rusty Walker of Bend, Oregon, who stabbed himself to death on stage, in front of a live audience.

Kipp had just finished playing a song called “Sorry For All the Mess”, at an open mike night at Strictly Organic Coffee Co. when he repeatedly stabbed himself in the chest with a six-inch knife.

The audience then began to cheer and clap, thinking it was part of the performance, but when Kipp collapsed in a pool of blood people began screaming in horror and some tried to help, but it was too late. His wounds were too severe and he he died shortly after arriving at a nearby hospital.

Rhonda Ealy, co-owner of the Stricly Organic Coffee Co. told KTVZ news:

It was really unclear at first what was even happening.

You know it is an open mic and it’s a performance, people at first thought it was some sort of theatre.

Most people never have to see anything like that in their entire lives, and never have before, so it is a life-changing experience

Apparently Walker had been planning to kill himself in public for some time. A friend of his was quoted as saying:

It was almost like he wanted to prove a point, like there’s no point in being scared of death because it’s going to happen to us anyway
