I said goodbye to my buddy, the new 4X4 MINI Countryman, after six months of joyous adventure in and around Cape Town. From mounting pavements in Green Point, to dirt roads and the dunes of Arniston, it was nothing short of pure adventure. I also managed to squeeze in an online TV series, showing you, the 2oceansVibers out there, the best shortcuts on the road in Cape Town and Johannesburg. If you missed Seth’s MINI Routes, check it out here. It’s still going strong, with new episodes coming out every Monday. The most excited response so far is for the short cut through the CTICC, which is nothing short of mind-blowing.

Speaking of mind-blowing, get a load of my new ride…

    Sexual

    Howz that roof?
    Murderous…

    I love you

    That’s the 2011 MINI Coupe.

    It’s got two seats.

    Just two seats.

    Like a roadster.

There is a hatch that lets you reach into the boot from the front.

    It has Satellite Navigation.

It has built in Digital Radio. So I can tune in to SA’s #1 Digital Radio Station, 2oceansVibe Radio and then switch to over 60 000 other radio stations around the world. I keep a list of favourites, including the station we listen to in France. It takes five seconds to switch from one to the other. I also listen to Johnny Vaughan on London’s Capital FM.

It has a Cooper S engine, and it’s automatic, so I can chill the hell out.

That’s if I’m not breaking land speed records.

It’s so fast I get scared. 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds.

But it’s a nice kind of scared.

The wing on the back goes up when you hit 80km/h.

But it also has a button inside that lets you put it up whenever you want.

I pop the tail the whole time – especially at traffic lights.

Watch this video and see how beautiful this little beast is…

    Another day… Another adventure…

Go to www.mini.co.za and join the revolution…

Mention 2oceansVibe and you will get special powers.

They’ll give you a test drive anytime you want…
