Newlands Kidnapping Report Is A Hoax
Late yesterday afternoon, and once more in the early hours of this morning, the hashtag #kidnapping began trending locally on Twitter. Multiple tweets claimed that a child had been kidnapped from the leafy Cape Town suburb of Newlands, and a red VW City Golf Velocity with the registration STW048GP was identified as the getaway car.
