  • Finally Men Get Their Own Dove Soap To Play With – For Their Face Too!

It’s common knowledge that I am an only child, born under a rainbow; and with that predisposition comes a unique set of experiences that other children with siblings may not have experienced. That’s at least what I thought, before I started chatting about this issue of Dove soap to my buddies last weekend. It turns out I don’t have to keep it a secret any longer – everyone has secretly been using their moms’ and girlfriends’ Dove soap for ages.

I remember my mother telling me as a kid that I could use any soap on any part of my body, but when it came to my face, only Dove soap was allowed near, as other soaps were too “severe.” I was a gorgeous kid, so you can appreciate her determination to freeze the angelic look I had perfected. Not that I didn’t feel awkward – you know, using a bar of soap that was clearly for women. It was definitely not something I told my mates about, as even the ads on TV had just women in them – as they (the TV ads) confirmed my mother’s point, advising that one quarter of a bar of Dove soap was moisturiser.

And now that Dove have made shower gel and deodorant for men, we’re able to celebrate our affiliation to this brand, without fear of ridicule. But not everyone knows how to use shower gel. I for one only learnt how to use shower gel properly about five years ago. More on that another time.

But sometimes I’m too lazy to use shower gel and I just want a classic bar of soap. Which I am inclined to do from time to time – but then it comes to my face and I have to get another product out of the cupboard. It’s all too exhausting. And that, my friends, is the beauty of the new Dove for men soap. It’s all you need. It’s got the same classic one quarter moisturising vibe, and you can use it on your face.

What’s more, it’s got a rad grip and shape. A manly futuristic design that says, “Hey, I might have moisturiser in my soap, but that doesn’t mean I’m not awesome.”

And THAT… is what I’m looking for.

Go to any good shop and get yourself the men’s range of Dove products – they’re so awesome and they’re so good for you and they smell so rad. If you’re scared, just get this soap as a starting point. They have two kinds – ‘Deep Clean’ and ‘Extra Fresh.’ I’ve tried them both and I want more.

You’ll have the full range in no time – trust me.

    In fact don’t trust me.

    Trust Victor Matfield.

    I do.
