Illustrator Nickolay Lamm undertook an investigation into what Barbie would really look like, in the real world. Lamm compared Barbie’s Mattel image to a proportionate 19 year old girl. Lamm said:
I feel that this is as close as you can get to a real life representation of a Barbie-proportioned woman standing next to an average sized woman.
