We know your Mac is great but there are probably a few things that you didn’t know you could do on your Mac. These tips will make using your Mac even more fun. Did you know your Mac has a secret calculator and it has been right under your nose all this time? Find out below where the calculator is, along with some other interesting things too.

    Tip 1

After you have saved whatever document you are busy with. Whether it be Word, PowerPoint or any other document. You will notice an icon appear at the top of your toolbar (circled in red). You can use this icon as any other file, you can drag it where ever your heart desires and your file will move with you.

    Tip 2

This is how to manage your tabs. Hold down the command button and press the tab key, this will allow you to move through your applications. If there is an application that you would like to close simply tap “Q” and the applications you wish to minimize simply press “H”.

    Tip 3

It is very annoying when filling out an online form and you tab through to get to the next question, but it does not allow the drop-down menus. Fear no more. Go to System Preferences, then Keyboard. Once there set the “Full Keyboard Access” to “All Controls” (seen in the red square).

    Tip 4

This is pretty awesome. The general use for Spotlight (command + space bar) is to look up documents and other things. But did you know that you can type in some simple maths problems and the answer will be provided.

    Tip 5

Filing, filing, filing. Say good-bye to a cluttered desktop. Highlight the files that you wish to group together, right click and select “New Folder With Selection” from the menu. Organising your life has never been this easy.
