    The World Architecture Festival is the world’s largest architecture festival. The 2013 Festival will be held at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands from 2 to 4 October. The shortlisted projects will be judged in October where each of the 29 categories will produce a winner. Some of the categories included in this year’s festival include Civic and Community, Housing, Schools, Sport and Villa. But only one will hold the title of “World Building of the Year”.

    These are a few of the shortlisted buildings for the World Architecture Festival.

    “Benson Radiology” by Tridente Architects, Australia

     

    “Al Bahr Towers” by Aedas Ltd – United Arab Emirates

     

    “Diamond House” by Alan Tay of Formwerkz Architects, Singapore

     

    “Chesapeake Building 12” by Eliott + Associates Architects, U.S

     

    “Kaap Skil, Maritime & Beachcombers Museum” by Mecanoo, Netherlands

     

    “Jianamani Visitor Centre” by Teamminus, China

     

    “Emporia” by Wingardh Arkitktkontor AB, Sweden

     

    “The Blue Planet” by 3XN, Denmark

     

     

    “Kontum Indochine Cafe” by Vo Trong Nghia Architects, Vietnam

     

    “Bethel Assembly of God Church” by LAUD Architects Pte, Singapore

     

    “L’Avenue Shanghai” by Leigh & Orange, Shanghai

     

    “Heydar Aliyev Centre” by Zaha Hadid Architects, Azerbaijan

     

    “Fazenda Boa Vista” by Isay Weinfeld, Brazil
