Dr Ramphele’s net worth as of 27th June 2013 was R55,436,063 with net asset values broken down as follows:
SHAREHOLDINGS – Anglo American; Gold Fields; Sibanye Gold; and PTI Select Managers Funds R1,384,800
LAND & PROPERTY – primary residence in Camps Bay, Cape Town – R10,000,000
PENSIONS – Retirement Annuity R1,146,139; Provident Fund R1,574,064
INDIRECT HOLDINGS – Family Trust R30,000,000; and Investment Trust R10,985,000
Dr Ramphele’s income for the last three months of the tax year ending 28th February 2013 was R346,000, a sizeable drop in income due to her resignation from all previous company board positions in December 2012 ahead of entering in to South Africa politics.
