An Ethopian farmer named Dhaqabo Ebba is claiming to be at least 160-years-old, which would make him 38 years older than the oldest person to have ever lived, France’s Jeanne Calment.

Annoyingly, Ebba has no birth certificate to verify his age, but his detailed accounts of local history, including Italy’s 1895 invasion of Ethiopia have convinced local reporters that his account is true.

‘When Italy invaded Ethiopia I had two wives, and my son was old enough to herd cattle’, said Mr Ebba.
