Less than a week after the shocking guilty verdict in Amanda Knox’s retrial, the trailer for the Cara Delevingne flick ’The Face Of An Angel’ — which is based on Amanda’s story — has been released.

The Face of an Angel, which is loosely based on the book Angel Face: Sex, Murder and the Inside Story of Amanda Knox by journalist Barbie Latza Nadeau, stars Rush alum Daniel Bruhl as a struggling filmmaker who is commissioned to write a film about the Tuscany murder of a British student — basically Meredith Kercher — by her “promiscuous” American roommate (basically Amanda Knox).

Kate Beckinsale plays an American journalist named Simone Ford who works on the case, while Cara Delevingne will make her big debut as a British student named Melanie who gets romantically “caught up” with Bruhl’s character, Thomas. Dutch actress Genevieve Gaunt, who had a minor role in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, plays the character based on Knox.
