Tracking the ages of people who achieve a moment of epiphany in their work, a study has found that the moments of a genius breakthrough tend to happen in your mid to late 30’s. Check it out..

The study examined the ages at which Nobel prize winning insights and great technological breakthroughs in the 20th century occurred. They found that the peak to the curve, that magical sweet spot, is the late 30’s. This is due to most people in the scientific community having to study for most of their 20’s and 30’s, only working in their field from their 30’s onward.

Its also notable that the age at which these insights and breakthroughs peak has been shifting later in life as the 20th century progressed. One possibility for this is there being more study material required to learn and understand a field as the century progressed.

Are you in your late 30s?

    Think, damnit!
