The Internet is a big place, and a large number of sites have come and gone. This map of the Internet created by graphic designer Martin Vargic is insane. Representing the online world through cartography, with no detail spared, this map is worth checking out.
The eastern continent is comprised of the founding fathers of the online and computer world, hosting the likes of Apple and Microsoft. The western “New World” is home to Google, Facebook and most of the other social media companies. The antarctic is home to the badlands of the internet, where once famous sites have gone to die and wither away.
