In 1985, writer Steven Spielberg and director-producer Richard Donner introduced the world to a loveable bunch of misfits who embarked on a magical adventure after finding a treasure map. Nearly 30 years later they might be doing a sequel.
‘The Goonies’ director Richard Donner let the news of a sequel slip when a paparazzi photographer asked whether Hollywood relies too much on comic books for their material. “If you call Goonies a comic book. We’re doing a sequel,” said Donner. Donner also said that the sequel will hopefully feature all of the remaining original cast.
