A DJ that goes by Squarepusher collaborated with a Japanese robot band called Z-Machines to create an EP called ‘Music For Robots.’ Check out the behind-the-scenes video that shows how these robots learned how to shred on the guitar.
The music these robots produced is nothing to write home, but the work behind it is pretty cool. From making sure the robotic actuators don’t smack a hole in the snare drum and figuring out how to make a robot play a guitar using a pick – the whole process just to get to the robots to play a note is an achievement.
