Apparently in the “scene” they call this “bonnet surfing.” All you need to know is that there’s a guy, a wooden board, a half-ton bakkie, a lot of dust, and multiple camera angles.

    This, from the video description:

The crazy guys at TiT Engineering rigged up this Nissan 1400 for maximum fun on a (very) dusty patch near Pretoria. We hooked up some ropes (for steering, acceleration and killing the engine) from the cabin to an old bonnet just behind the car – meaning no-one was actually in the car. Just stick it in second, carefully release the clutch, jump on and hold on tight for a face full of dirt, hands full of blisters and veins full of adrenalin. Here’s the Facebook page of the mofos who did this. Feel free to leave them messages of admiration/admonishment.
