You must have heard by now that Chad le Clos won the 200m freestyle and the 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly. That’s four races at the Fina World Swimming Championship in Doha, and it was well worth it.
Chad received $7 000 for each race that he won, and an extra $15 000 for setting a new world record in the 100m butterfly.
That’s $43 000 AKA R500 000 that he gets to pop into his savings account.
Granted, he probably gets up at 4am to train and permanently has prune fingers and toes… and don’t forget modelling for his new swimwear range…
