Heeeerrreee we go! Ring the bell…
Lindsay Lohan is the latest star to lend her name to a mobile game about how to live the Hollywood lifestyle.
But, unlike Kim Kardashian’s epically successful (so sad, but true) venture, Lohan’s tongue-in-cheek take, titled: Lindsay Lohan’s The Price of Fame, highlights the ridiculousness of the Hollywood life.
Throughout the game, Lohan encourages you to upgrade aspects of your lifestyle in overtly meaningless ways to get more fans. The game is filled with Lohan quips like “buy some stupid celebrity stuff,” or “gender is a social construct and so is your persona.”
Like Kim Kardashian Hollywood, the game uses in-app purchases to let players upgrade various aspects of their lifestyle to advance.
This time though, the upgrades seem to be designed to mock aspects of Hollywood lifestyles rather than to actually encourage players to pay for the upgrades. You can pay to upgrade your “conspicuous consumption” habits, for example, by paying for a raw food diet or upgrade your entourage with a party bus or “friendly baby.” Nice one, Lindsay…
Some of the highlights include punching a paparazzi, buy a private peninsula, get butt implants, fight in an elevator, and give your baby Botox. It’s all part of getting famous in Hollywood. Don’t worry though, you have a hot shot team of lawyers to get you out of trouble. And they probably deserved it.
The free game is available for iOS and Android.
