We all got a little teary-eyed when the old man took to the air in the Pixar classic ‘Up’. No need to play hardcore, women like men who are in touch with their emotions.
Now, in a classic case of real-life mirroring fiction, Erik Roner, a professional skier and fan of BASE jumping, has risen to the lofty heights of 8,000 feet (2438m) with the assistance of 90 helium-filled balloons. He piloted his lawn chair to the desired height before popping some of the balloons, detaching from the lawn chair and returning back to earth with a grin.
This quote from the Huffington Post:
“That was epic…It’s kind of like the dream of flying or ‘can that actually happen?’ So for the reality of pulling it off was pretty surreal for me.”
