One would hardly imagine Kanye West giving the time to talk to anyone, let alone 350 students at Oxford University’s Museum of Natural History, but the rapper did just that yesterday, and as met with over a minute of applause when he walked on stage.

After much negotiating from the Chairman of the Oxford Guild, Abbas Kazmi, for this to all happen, Kanye finally agreed and spoke for 30 minutes.

Ye had some good lines and some odd ones. We can thank Twitter for posting the best of them.

Beauty has been stolen from the people and is being sold back to them as luxury.

We have the resources as a civilisation to make a utopia, but we’re led by the most greedy and the least noble.

Amongst the better of them he said how he would would have been better than Picasso had he gone into art, and how “Obama calls the home phone, by the way”.

    Humble much?

One of my biggest achilles heels has beanery ego. And if I, Kanye West, can remove my ego, I think there’s hope for everyone.

People say I’ve got a bad reputation. I think I’ve got the best reputation in the building.

Chris Rock and everyone else at every single media publication called My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy the best album of the last 25 years.

Well, the album wasn’t bad, per se…

He also popped into the Adidas Originals store in London to “personally present some of the first Yeezy Boots in the UK”.
