Massive Google Changes: Your Website Is About To Rank Much Lower (Or Higher) – This Is How You Test

Everyone who has a website should read this, as today Google changes the way it searches for websites and you could be affected.

If you have a website, you’re going to want to listen very carefully to this: Google is changing its “mobile search algorithm” today and it could be quite detrimental to you if your website is not mobile friendly. Here’s the crunch:

Websites not deemed mobile-friendly will be dropped down the search rankings, dramatically reducing the number of visitors to a site.

Obviously a new word for this has been coined by “search engine ranking experts” – Mobilegeddon.

The problem here, says Itai Sadan from website-building company Duda, is that many people will not know about this change.

Come 21 April, a lot of small businesses are going to be really surprised that the number of visitors to their websites has dropped significantly. This is going to affect millions of sites on the web.

Businesses and companies spend a lot of money so that they come up on the first page of results of Google searches, however Google announced the changes in February so everyone has had ample warning to update websites, apparently.

Thankfully, you can check if your website is “classed mobile-friendly by Google” HERE.

You’re welcome.
