Politicians – they’re people too, or that’s what they’ll have you believe.
British Prime Minister David Cameron was entertaining Chinese President Xi Jinping, and it seems the pair grew tired of all the official state business. Just like a couple of ordinary blokes they decided to pop down to David’s local pub, necking a pint and dining on British staple fish and chips.
The two apparently reminisced about the good old days, with this below from IBT:
The conversation at the pub included when Cameron left behind his then eight-year-old daughter Nancy at the same pub after a family lunch in 2012. “I once famously made a terrible mistake. I got into the car and I left my daughter. I’ve been in here a few times but I’m not leaving my family here today. She [Nancy] tells the story about her dad here in the pub. She’s coped very well,” Cameron said.
Top notch stuff, let’s see the two in action…
Jolly good stuff gents, although I am somewhat surprised by Cameron’s choice of grub. I guess there was no pulled pork on the menu…
