This past Saturday saw Bakkies Botha and a host of other international stars turn out for the Barbarians, celebrating their 125-year anniversary with a match against Argentina at Twickenham.
The match was notable for a touching tribute to Jonah Lomu by the Argentinian team, each member warming up wearing the winger’s trademark number 11 on their backs.
In the end it was the Pumas who won out 49-31, although the highlight may have been Bakkies Botha taking the final kick at poles after bestie Victor Matfield had crashed over for a try. Bakkies used the opportunity to channel his inner Dan Biggar, although the similarity ends with his pre-kick shuffling.
In case you’re looking to wind this Monday down then here’s the full set of highlights from the weekend’s encounter.
