Trends: We love to hate them. As one comes into fashion, another falls away, but this year with sunglasses, anything goes. A few have made a come back, with a slight adjustment in the frames, shapes and styles and they’re sure to make anyone look instantly mysterious, sexy and on fleek. Yeah, I said it.

Here are three trends that have come back into fashion:

Beat the Hare, Get Your Tortoise On

Although it has been back for a while, it is the easiest way to make sure you’re on point. Part vintage, part hipster, they are amazingly versatile. Tortoiseshell accessories were first made out of real tortoises, but once that trend was deemed immoral and unethical, no one wore anything to do with it anymore. But now that it’s back, the best thing about the pattern is that it’s completely unisex.

    Update Those 80s Shades

If you are one for the classic, then try go for a white frame. This is the ultimate summery look as clothes worn are generally of a lighter shade to beat the sun’s pounding heat. No longer synonymous with 80s movie stars, the variety of frames and styles also beat the awful surfer look that once infiltrated our shores.

Mirror, Mirror, On Your FaceScreen Shot 2016-01-21 at 10.44.50 AM

Mirrored lenses are coming in hot and fast. Seen in a variety of colours, such as pink, green, blue, yellow and even rainbow, these reflective specs were once famed for being donned by extreme sports stars, but no longer, mate. Say goodbye to those awful wraparounds and go grab yourself a pair of aviators instead.

No matter which frame you go for, just keep in mind that not every face-shape suits every frame choice. But thankfully, there is a fantastic variety that allows everyone to keep on trend, look good and feel confident. If you need some help, the people over at Sunglass Hut are definitely not new to the game and will ensure you leave looking mighty fine and on trend.
