  • Some Tips To Improve Your Tinder Strike Rate

According to some new data out in the world, it is found that the most people are on the dating sites around 9pm. This is the same across Tinder and OkCupid, but be aware: Usage plummets around 10pm.

But that’s ideal. One hour to get all your swipes for the day in. There’s even a graph:

All this data comes from Nielsen – who also track TV ratings – and have used smartphone data from about 9 000 panelists as part of its Electronic Mobile Measurement programme intended to provide representatives information about US audiences.

It’s all in an effort to see how people use dating apps for marketing purposes – obviously – and, well, just in time for that awful holiday of love coming up on the 14th of Feb.

Since these apps are at their best when you can immediately talk to matches, the findings might actually help you find love (or at least some innocent flirtation). Don’t waste your time on Tinder in the wee hours of the morning: Most people spend their time on the app between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., as you can see below.

But if you go to bed earlier than that or have a life in the evening, so chilled, OkCupid is the one for you. It’s super popular between 8am and 10am but that’s probably because it’s online and not an app and requires a lot more clearer mind than Tinder.

When we look at unique audience, we see that a larger percentage of all OKC users sign in both in the morning and night. On Tinder, the user’s likelihood to check in between noon and midnight is mostly flat at about 40 percent.

But that only matters if you want to chat immediately, otherwise swiping and matching on both platforms can be done anytime, anywhere.
