Crime syndicates are rife in South Africa, and one of their favourite activities is stealing cars. No, wait, hijacking cars.

For some reason the rush of getting their hands onto a car with the driver still inside is their ultimate. Especially in Johannesburg.

A while ago we warned you that the latest master plan was to meet the victims at the gates of their security estates and pull out some guns on them. I mean, that’s almost like them ambushing you in your driveway, but there are people in a security box sitting right there doing nothing. Very scary.

Well, this dude showed everyone how it is done. While waiting at the security gate a bakkie rocked up alongside the MINI Cooper driver and, as the boom gate opens, an armed man exits the bakkie and runs over to the MINI driver.

Boom, talk about a quick reaction.

Only a driver of a MINI Cooper would react to such a hijacking with such  quick reflexes. If you’re asking “why” then you have much to learn, young padawan.
