Winner winner chicken dinner, one Soweto factory worker who spent R20 on a Lotto ticket taking home R20 million.

Whilst all the details are not known it is believed the woman is in her 50s, buying the ticket from her local Shoprite.

She kept her ticket in her Bible and thought it was a mistake when she saw she had matched all six numbers.

“She’s thrilled that she will finally get to fulfil her dream of retiring early and acquiring a home by the sea,” [spokesperson for lotto operator Ithuba Zuki] Nomnganga said in a statement on Tuesday.

“She said her other dream of buying her daughter a house will finally also be fulfilled. She’s excited that her retirement money will now be like an added bonus as she enters a new life as South Africa’s newest multi-millionaire.”

Maybe I should dust out that old Bible after all.
