  • Don’t Miss Out On The Most Talked About Brunch In Cape Town

My initiation into getting crunked on mimosas was at my university graduation.

We sat in front of Fort Selwyn, with the small city of Grahamstown at our feet, and cheered glass after glass of the fruity champagne goodness.

Needless to say, my graduation was a blur and from then on, whenever we get together, mimosas come out to play.

But where mimosas fit into my life far more frequently these days is during brunch – and HQ’s next Sunday Social will welcome you with a classic HQ Mimosa topped with orange foam.

    Can you even.

Changing it up this time around, HQ will offer an à la carte mains with a choice between four options – as well as sharing-platters for both starters and sweets.

Throughout The Sunday Social – the next one happens from 11AM to 6PM on Sunday, March 5 – entertainment includes:

    • Brett Aitken
    • Blanka Mazimela ( Live ) with guest vocalists
    • “Thank Me Later” with the David Watkyns on Keys & Trumpet

Other than that, the menu sounds as good as always and includes some of my favourites:

    • Roasted Pork Belly Benedict
    • Belgium Waffles served with Caramelised Banana Crème
    • Mini Quiche with Roasted Peppers & Chorizo

Don’t worry, there’s so much more – check HERE for the full menu as well as details for the day.

We really want you to get involved, so we are giving you the chance to win a table for four as well as a bottle of Moet for the table.

    Damn straight.

All you have to do is email henk@2oceansvibe.com OR tweet @2oceansvibe and @HQCAPETOWN (way more chance of winning, especially if it includes a related gif/meme) with your favourite excuse for drinking a mimosa with brunch.

After all, mimosas aren’t alcohol, they are champagne omelettes.

[Winners announced next week Wednesday. If you want to book a table, tickets are R285 per person and you can visit the HQ Website and book directly through the booking system.

Once you’ve booked your ticket please e-mail management@hqrestuarant.co.za for your table preferences. Read all about the event HERE.]

If champagne just isn’t your thing, for some or other reason, then HQ’s Fine Wining evenings are back.

The first is March 1 with Graham Beck and, at R295pp, includes a 3-course meal as well as a welcome drinks and canapes on arrival.

You can check out all that event information HERE and don’t forget to book by calling 021 424 6373 or email matt@hqrestaurant.co.za.

Happening once a month for the rest of the year, here’s the rest of HQ’s Fine Wining calendar:
