Friday traffic in Cape Town is a real bummer at the best of times.
We always joke about the obligatory ‘it starts at midday on a Friday’ chat people seem to love having.
“I tell you, boet, you can’t get out of the city these days china, It’s a joke, pal.”
The truth is they’re not wrong.
You can expect today to be another stinker traffic-wise, because Seth is out and about and he’s just snapped this picture:
Not going to win photo of the year but yes, that is Buitengracht Street.
Consider this a heads up – they are working on the one lane all the way from Strand Street to the highway. It doesn’t matter what time you try and escape, it’s going to be a nightmare.
If you were debating whether to have after work drinks, this might be the day to brave the cold, embrace the traffic delay and drink copious amounts with co-workers.
We won’t be held responsible for any ill-advised behaviour on your part, though.
