Last week we cast our minds back to that time Brendan Venter went rogue, his post-match interview in 2010 one for the record books.

You can watch that here, but let’s move on to Constant Beckerling and his emotional interview after Wits beat Tuks in Jozi last night’s Varsity Cup match.

The Wits skipper was very, very stoked to see his underdogs pip the defending champs 25-19, and he felt compelled to talk about the cojones shown by his team.

They were enormous, but we’ll let him deliver the news:

If you’re thinking that you’ve seen that flowing red beard somewhere before, you might remember his interview from last year:

#TBT to the greatest player interview of #VarsityCup 2017. @WitsUniversity captain Constant Beckerling delivered this epic post-match speech after a great victory. Bring on the 2018 tournament and more of the same passion! #VarsityCup11 pic.twitter.com/c2H1V46ijS

    Can’t fault his enthusiasm.

One more thing, before we part ways: I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t offer you the chance to watch the finish to this weekend’s Six Nations encounter between France and Ireland.

Johnny Sexton, with an 83rd minute drop goal to break French hearts, is a bloody hero:
