Nothing will ever rival the snake versus iguana battle from Planet Earth II for sheer drama.

You don’t have to travel as far afield as the Galapagos Islands if you want reptile drama, though, because up in Kruger a monitor lizard and a cobra have been filmed duking it out.
According to Traveller24:
Helen Young, who captured the video in April, felt impressed at the lizard’s strength as it tugged the snake down the road while its neck dripped in the snake’s venom.
“I didn’t want to turn my car on as I thought it may spook the snake off its kill, which meant they got a bit too close for comfort! In the end another car raced by which drove the snake away… Nature never fails to amaze!” said Young on her Facebook page.
Yeah, nature, high fives all round:
No word as to how this one ended, but if I had to put money on it I’d say monitor lizard all the way.
