Sheesh, R17 000 a month and you’re right on the rocks in a prime Atlantic Seaboard location, with a pool? Sounds grand.
Ready for the kicker?
It’s a one-bedroom apartment.
On the plus side, the Pam Golding listing does say that the electricity, water, and WiFi is included in the rental and “the balcony can be converted into a 2nd/spare room”.
I don’t know the specifics of how you make that happen, but I back your ingenuity.
Here’s more from the listing, along with some pictures:
Ideally suited for a single professional or professional couple, non smokers, sober habits and regretfully no children or pets, there is also a guest sleeping niche area.
There is also a pool in the complex and it is walking distance to all amenities. Secure off street parking. Furnished main bedroom with TV and built-in cupboards has an en suite bathroom with basin, bath and toilet.
Bathroom 1 with basin, shower and toilet. Furnished kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and washing machine and dryer. Furnished living room with air conditioner, air con throughout the flat.
Boundary wall electronic entrance to forecourt and secure parking. Communal pool.
Communal pool? Still nice, but we must dock a luxury point there.
Right on the rocks, though:
Ja, nee, hey, I would probably pass and spend my R17 000 a month elsewhere for an actual second bedroom, but don’t let that stop you from following your ‘on the rocks’ dream.
