2021 has been a bit of a drag, and as The Counting Crows allude to, we’re likely in for a long December as well.
The final months do mean that your holiday is within touching distance, once you tick off that year-end function.
If you want to hit that out of the park, we suggest you take a look at what Anthonij Rupert Wyne has to offer.
The all-in-one itinerary of their signature activities makes for the perfect celebration for smaller groups. The day out includes scenic transport on the estate aboard private trams, a visit to the Franschhoek Motor Museum, and lunch and wine tasting at the famous Terra Del Capo Antipasto Bar.
Once you’re done there, it’s off for a spot of wine tasting at the historic Anthonij Rupert Tasting Room.
An idea of what your itinerary could look like:
- 11AM – Arrival at Anthonij Rupert Tasting Room.
- 11:05AM – You’re collected and taken on a scenic drive en route to the Franschhoek Motor Museum.
- 11:20AM – Enjoy a tour of the Franschhoek Motor Museum featuring a collection of 80 vintage cars.
- 12:30PM – You’re collected from the museum and travel through the estate en route to the Terra del Capo tasting room.
- 12:45PM – Enjoy an antipasti set menu lunch paired with wines from the Terra del Capo wine range.
- 2:30PM – The estate tram collects you and takes you to the Anthonij Rupert tasting room.
- 2:40PM – Enjoy a wine tasting at the Anthonij Rupert tasting room, featuring wines from premium wine ranges.
When you’re done, you can depart the estate at your leisure.
All in all, it sounds like a lovely day out for R650 per head.
Just remember to organise a shuttle to and from the estate, so that everyone can tuck into the fine wines on offer.
Don’t be snoep – make sure there are a few drinks in the shuttle. The good vibes must continue on the drive back to Cape Town.
