Bryan Adams’ 2022 Pirelli Calendar is here and it has come packed with some impressive star power.
Yes, the Canadian singer now snaps photos, too.
The 2022 theme for the annual trade calendar, which has a reputation for its choice of photographers and models, is ‘On The Road’.
It depicts a normal day in the life of a touring musician, including Cher, Grimes, Jennifer Hudson, Normani, Rita Ora, Iggy Pop, Saweetie, Kali Uchis, and St. Vincent.
The cover star is St. Vincent (up top), apparently depicting the moment she wakes up at a hotel.
Adams began shooting away a couple of months ago at two locations in Los Angeles – the Palace Theatre and Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel.
The behind-the-scenes shots were already pretty tantalising.
The Evening Standard has more from Adams regarding the theme:
“It would be very, very hard to encapsulate everything that happens on the road in a couple of days.
“So what I tried to do was to represent some of the aspects of it… for example, musicians never really see the front of the building, they see the back of the building, we see the stage door, we see the backstage area, we see the basement of a building… you go from the stage door to the car door to the hotel door to the train door to the bus door, so it’s a bunch of doors, but it’s always about travelling…”, Bryan Adams said.
Alright, time to dive in, starting with Rita Ora sitting back for bathtime:

While Kali Uchis takes a day off by the pool:

And Saweetie checks out her luggage from the hotel:

Cher just needs a moment backstage:

As well as Normani, resting before a soundcheck:

Jennifer Hudson is shown arriving:

While Grimes does her thing in the recording studio:

Iggy Pop also makes an appearance:

I can’t tell if he is shimmering from having just got out of the shower or if he needs one to wash off all the glitter.
The calendar also includes the singer-turned-shutterbug Adams posing for the edition:

Page Six reckons that this round of photos are “more sultry than scandalous”, especially considering how the famed calendar was once synonymous with sexy shots of completely nude models up until the mid-2010s.
The calendar unveiling happened in Milan last week, but poor Adams couldn’t be there as he tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Italy.
Unfortunate, but at least he is featured in the calendar itself.
